For over 50 years mods, skinheads and scooter boys have made the weekend pilgrimage to British seaside towns to attend "weekender" rallies, listen to live music and dance. In the early 1980s scooter lover and illustrator, Paddy Smith began producing and selling commemorative "weekender" patches. The hand-printed designs, exclusively available at each event, began to be work as medals - proof of attendance. Each patch was unique to that "weekender" and the design told the story of that date and destination.
For this collection, six exclusive patches were designed by Paddy Smith and applied to a series of the Fred Perry styles, illustrating the enduring relationship between the Laurel Wreath and British subcultures.
